The food, baked goods, and pastries are delicious. I ordered the Berliner Mettwurst plate, and it was meaty and flavorful. The potato salad had a hint of vinegar and a great smoky flavor from the bacon. The rye bread had a great chew, was dense and delicious. My wife ordered the Bratwurst plate, and she loved the mild flavor as well as the potato salad. My son ordered the Grilled Cheese. He loved the crunch from the butterd and grilled bread and how soft the cheese was. It was very cheesy and delicious. Before we left, we ordered bread and pastries to enjoy at home, and we are very happy that we did. The highlight was the Bienenstich cake because it was delicious. Creamy and luscious Bavarian Cream, light and airy cake topped with sugared and roasted almonds. Absolutely divine.

I visited here for the first time today. I’m German on my mom’s side. Our family name is Stoudenheimer. I walked in and felt an overwhelming sense of homecoming. I got a jar of pickles, a piece of bee sting, some meat, a glass dragon, and the mug pictured below. I met the owner and he was so sweet and friendly. All of the young ladies were kind as well. I can’t wait to return!

A totally unique place. I’ve never been anywhere like it. Just packed full of knick-knacks and tchotchkes. Like a German Cracker Barrel with better food. The sausages are great. And the pastries are outstanding. The Beesting(?) that is only available on Saturdays was delicious. Staff is super friendly and attentive. All around a great experience.
